We graciously accept used, in-kind furniture donations in very good to excellent condition to furnish homes and apartments for arriving SIVs. We cannot accept stained, soiled, or torn items as we do not have the ability to clean or repair. To request a furniture donation pickup, please fill out the request form by clicking the "In-Kind Furniture Donations" button below. Please be aware that we may be booked several weeks out.

- Compliant cribs (temporarily paused due to overstock)
- Compact dressers (tallboy style preferred for small spaces)
- Dining tables & chairs
- Twin, Full, Queen mattresses & boxsprings without tears/stains/infestations
- Metal bed frames (we cannot accept headboards/footboards)
- End tables and coffee tables
- Floor and table lamps
NOT ACCEPTING:
- Drop down cribs
- Entertainment centers
- Cabinets from remodels
- Oversized furniture including couches, dressers, bookshelves and king size mattresses. We can accept small couches/loveseats, and small dressers. (Our families live in small spaces)
- Appliances (if you have a washer & dryer in working condition that you would like to deliver directly to a family, please email [email protected] for details.)

HOUSEHOLD & OTHER SMALL ITEMS:
Items on our "Accepting" list can be dropped off at our new office located at 22 Flint St. on WEDNESDAYS from 10:30am -2:00pm. Please look for the metal grated stairs and KOP signs.
ACCEPTING:
- Car seats and booster seats, and strollers
- Floor and table lamps
- Laptops and other personal devices. More details can be found here.
- TVs in working condition, with up-to-date cable connections and power cords
- Bagless vacuums in good working condition
- Microwaves
- Carafes
- Matching sets of flatware or glasses….6+ are in great need (please no glasses for alcoholic beverages)
- 8-10 qt pots with covers
- Colanders
- Baking dishes (especially with lids)
- Flatware trays
- Knife sets
- Frying pans – especially with lids
- Mixing bowl sets (please no plastic)
- ¼ and ½ size baking sheets
- Metal ladles, potato peelers, can openers, new wooden spoons, etc.
- Electric or stovetop tea pots w/strainers
- Cutting boards
- Irons and smaller ironing boards
- Divided dishes to serve nuts, dried fruit, etc.
- Hangers
- Large trays (big enough to hold multiple cups of tea)
- Window AC units in good working condition
- Fans
LINENS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED AT THE KOP OFFICE. We have a regular linen drop of the first Saturday of each month. Please email [email protected] for the location and items being accepted.
NOT ACCEPTING:
- Small cooking pots, griddles, instant or crock pots
- Wine and other glasses for alcoholic beverages
- Drop down cribs & expired car seats
- Bikes
- Children's toy, books, or baby gear
- Decorations
- Clothing and Shoes (KOP does not accept clothing donations. Please consider donating to the Storehouse at the Asbury First United Methodist Church, located at 1040 East Avenue in Rochester. (Call 585-385-3596 to verify drop off hours and current needs) who we partner with to fulfill the clothing needs of our families.
TECHNOLOGY (LAPTOPS/CHROMEBOOKS):
Donors who wish to provide used devices for job search, English education, email communication, etc can view our technology donation guidelines here. A donation form for approved items must be filled out prior to donating items to our KOP office located at Greenovation (22 Flint St - Upstairs, following the KOP Signs)
GIFT CARDS:
We accept gift cards from Amazon, Target and Walmart to purchase items we may not have when setting up homes and apartments. We also accept gift cards from PriceRite, Tops, Aldi and Wegmans to purchase welcome groceries, and for newly arrived SIV individuals and families until they receive identification and benefits or who are food insecure.
