Join us at our Road to Resilience gala fundraiser on Thursday, May 1st, 2025 at the Irondequoit Country Club from 6-9pm for an evening of hope and action as we stand with our Afghan wartime allies and their families. These courageous individuals risked everything in service to the United States, and their lives depend on our support now more than ever.
With the permanent termination to reception and placement contracts, many SIVs and their families are left without the resources they were promised. Essential benefits have been cut, and the one-time resettlement funds are no longer available. This will significantly impact how many SIVs Keeping Our Promise can assist in Rochester, even if we secure private flights for their relocation.

Joining us as keynote speaker is Christopher Purdy.
A dedicated advocate for democracy and human rights, Chris founded The Chamberlain Network in 2024 to mobilize veterans in protecting democracy through organizing, education, and community engagement. Previously, he led Veterans for American Ideals and served as a director at Human Rights First, advancing policies to protect refugees and the Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) program. |
A founder of the Evacuate Our Allies coalition and a member of the Executive Advisory Council of AfghanEvac, Chris has long championed the rights of those who served alongside the U.S. military. He has testified before Congress, worked with major media, and supported veteran leaders nationwide. Chris also serves on the National Defense Council of the Truman National Security Project and the Welcome Council of Welcome.US.
Among many educational endeavors, Chris received a Master's in Inclusive Education from Nazareth College. He currently offers his Rochester home to SIV families as they transition to permanent housing.
His leadership and passion make him an inspiring voice for our mission.
