These courageous individuals risked everything in service to the United States. Now rebuilding their lives here in Rochester, many face rising cost of living, limited resources, and ongoing uncertainty. Their safety and stability depend on the support of a community willing to stand with them when it matters most.
Together, we can help families put down roots, access opportunity, and contribute fully to the community they now call home, while ensuring that Rochester remains a place where compassion, dignity, and welcome are more than just ideals.
Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully curated evening featuring a full sit-down dinner, open bar, live music, an exclusive travel auction hosted by AmFund, paddle call, and desserts generously provided by local bakeries.

Shawn is the founder and President of #AfghanEvac and Principal at Gaslamp Consulting where he works with government and private sector leaders to identify innovative solutions to long-term civic challenges. A vocal proponent of civic engagement at all levels, Shawn serves as Chairman of the San Diego Convention Center and is the founder of the San Diego Chapter of the Truman National Security Project. |
Shawn attended National University, the Naval Postgraduate School, and University of San Francisco and holds degrees and certifications related to homeland security, cybersecurity, emergency management, and public leadership. Shawn is a Navy veteran, proud father and avid sailor.

Bill Moehle has served as Brighton Town Supervisor since 2012, following nearly two decades as Attorney to the Town of Brighton and more than 30 years in private legal practice. A graduate of Williams College and NYU School of Law, Bill is a respected community leader and Past President of the New York State Association of Towns, the Brighton Chamber of Commerce, and the Brighton Rotary Club. |
